Welcome to First Church of Christ, Scientist in Grand Haven, Michigan. Our church is located at 504 Clinton (corner of Clinton and South Fifth Street), Grand Haven, MI 49417. (View Map)
In October 1910, a small group that had been studying Christian Science met to organize a Christian Science Society in Grand Haven. In July 1924 members incorporated as First Church of Christ, Scientist, Grand Haven and were so recognized by The Mother Church in Boston, MA. Church services were held in various buildings until 1925 when the present church building was purchased; it was dedicated debt-free in December 1941.
The building has since had further remodeling in 1940 and 1965, a major addition in 1985 incorporating new Sunday School and Child Care facilities and a Reading Room and further remodeling and redecorating in 1988. The church is on the corner of Clinton and South Fifth with the church entrance facing Clinton and the Reading Room facing South Fifth Street.
You are warmly invited to attend our one hour service beginning at 10:30 a.m.
